Pivot Manufacturing offers 3 and 4 axis CNC precision milling. We commonly machine aluminum, carbon steel, stainless steel and various types of abrasive plastics. We also machine customer consigned material including aluminum extrusions, and various types of castings and forgings.
Our product mix varies from low volume, quick-turn parts to high volume production machining with kanban deliveries.
We program from 2D drawings, solid-model and wireframe files using Mastercam software.
With a strong working knowledge of lean manufacturing, we have configured our machine tools on the production floor to accommodate cellular manufacturing. For multiple operation jobs, we are able to run parts in series to reduce overall cycle time. All of our machining centers are manufactured by HAAS. This allows us to better plan for commonalty in programming, capacity and preventative maintenance.
Most of the parts we make require some kind of outside processing. We have a strong local supply chain for heat treat, plating, painting, NDT, laser etching and pad/screen printing.
